I had an interesting conversation with a dear friend awhile ago. We were talking about loneliness, unresolved issues, and the uncertainties of life. Within seconds, tough questions were laid on the table.
If we have truly moved on, why are we still haunted by the past?
Is there such a thing as forgetting when we are but prisoners of our memory?
Can we ever quantify giving, loving?
When is too much "too much"?
How can we protect ourselves from the bruises and the hurt?
Despite things being in order, why do we still feel lonely?
Are we on the right track?
Or did we miss the target?
Then I realized, there are questions that remain that way: unanswered. Well, maybe for now. And it's fine. Life goes on. What's important is we are brave enough to ask. More so, bold enough to stand from the fall and continue moving forward despite the excess baggage, uncertainties and occasional loneliness.
How about you? What are your questions? Have you found the answers?
...Or are you still wondering? Still seeking just like us?
Thanks for your realization because I kept trying to come up with answers!
ReplyDeleteAnother question we will always ask ourselves.. "What if?"
Hmmm...that question is always on our list. But we'll never know, right?
