Drei: It all started with a small pouch of broken marbles Sophie found wedged between the roots of an old Narra tree.
Kv: They're beautiful, but broken. Like pieces of glass. Torn. No, not torn. Shattered.
Nix: Shattered and abandoned, just like the fragmented memories of her youth. Sophie looked at the ruins and wondered, "Why is it so effortless to break a glass so fragile and pure?"
Drei: A pebble suddenly hit her right between the eyes, jarring thoughts (brought) her back to reality. "Oi. Those are my marbles!"
Malou: "Someone lost their marbles."
Drei: "Yeap. A lot of people lose their marbles around this area.", said the voice to Sophie. "But those marbles aren't lost. They're mine. I hid them there. What, with all the people running around, for their marbles. I made sure to hide mine!"
Kv: "What a place to hide!" Sophie said. Roots of an old Narra tree. Well, at least the marbles enjoyed their share of fine and cool weather, sounds of laughter. Despite the dirt and the danger.
Nix: The voice thought the shaded bed where the old Narra tree stood was the safest place to hide her treasures. But the old Narra tree couldn't keep the secret hidden for so long. A stranger found the pouch and saw the fragile, colored spheres inside. He took the marbles and claimed these were his. But nobody could own these translucent gems...neither the voice nor the stranger. Not even the Narra tree.
Sea: For she knew that these marbled gems were more than what they seemed. A century ago, before the evolution of modern man and the boom of cable TV - even before the invention of the telephone, there lived an old shaman who hid these colorful glasses away from greedy hands. He said that...
Kv: "One day, this will turn all the normals to abnormals, all the straight to be crooked, the right to be wrong. The only safe place is to be different, everything else will be dangerous."
Drei: How Sophie knew of the marbles' secret is as curious as its origins.
As a child, her grandmother would tell her stories of how, in dreams, the first born males of their family would be visited by the shaman who would give them the honor of being the stones' guardian.
But Sophie was an exception - she was special. So one night, she started to dream...
